About this app
Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection that affects the lungs. Pneumonia can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia contracted by a person outside of the healthcare system. Severe pneumonia score is a mobile app designed to help medical practitioner to predict risk of adverse outcomes in patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) by using the SCAP score. Patients with scores ≥10 are classified as having severe community-acquired pneumonia and are recommended for ICU, monitored bed, and/or immediate intervention. All calculations must be re-checked and should not be used alone to guide patient care, nor should they substitute for clinical judgment. Calculations in this app might be different with your local practice. Consult to expert doctor whenever necessary.
