A restless mind gets louder the harder you try to quiet it. Shift90 does the opposite: fling it onto the screen, breathe it down, name it — then throw it somewhere far across the earth. A 90-SECOND WAY THROUGH ONE WAVE An emotion's physiological wave is said to pass in about ninety seconds, as long as thinking doesn't keep feeding it. A Shift90 session is built for exactly those ninety seconds. 1. Trace — fling how you feel onto the screen with your finger. The turbulence of your stroke becomes a storm of particles. 2. Settle — the physiological sigh: two quick inhales, one long exhale. Every breath out, the storm grows calmer. 3. Name — give what's left a name, in your own words. "Anxious × regretful." Named, it stops swallowing you. 4. Throw — press it into one shape, swing your arm, and let it fly. Throw hard and it goes far; flick it and it drops a few kilometres away. 5. Watch it land — it soars over a satellite view of the real world and comes down somewhere real: "It landed about 65 km away, near Moriya, Ibaraki." PHOTOS CAN GO IN TOO The photo of an ex. The screenshot you wish you'd never sent. Crumple in as many as you like. Thrown photos are discarded the instant the animation ends — never saved, never sent, never shown again.
