What’s New

Version 1.9.18 Oct 5, 2026

This is a BIG update. In this release we have added: Adaptive volume — "follow the room". This one took the longest to get right. Because the mic is already open, the app measures how loud the room is. If traffic, a neighbour or a snoring partner pushes the noise level up, the sounds come up to mask it, and settle back down when the room quietens. It only ever raises volume above what you set, never lowers it — waking up in silence because the app decided your room was quiet would be worse than the problem it solves. Smart alarm. Instead of ringing at a moment, it rings in a window (0/15/30/45 minutes before your time) and uses movement in the room to find a moment you're already stirring, so you're not ripped out of deep sleep. It will never ring later than the time you asked for — being wrong costs you a few minutes, never a missed morning. Choose any of the gentle catalogue sounds to wake to, with a sunrise option that slowly raises the screen brightness through the window so light arrives before sound, and a vibrate-only mode so you don't wake the person next to you. Live Activity and Dynamic Island for a running night, with the timer, noises caught so far, and a one-tap End button on the Lock Screen — because at 3am the last thing you want is to unlock your phone and go find an app. The night screen is deliberately dim and almost empty, and it can't be swiped away by accident — the only way out is a deliberate End. A sleep score and a written report. Not just three arcs and a chart — actual sentences: "A solid night. You slept 7h 12m, 18 minutes short of your goal. Deep sleep came to 1h 4m, 15% of the night. You woke twice. 23 noises in the room — the longest was Snoring at 3:14am." A night log and correlations. You tag a night with things that might have affected it — caffeine, alcohol, a late meal, exercise, screens late, stress, being unwell, travel — and once there's enough data the app tells you things like "Nights with alcohol score 11 points lower" or "You score 7 points higher on nights you play Heavy Rain." It only reports a finding when there are enough nights on both sides to mean anything.
