Friendly neighbors chat in the halls, grumps slam doors, night owls blast music at 2 AM. Keep them happy and they'll sign leases, refer friends, and pay rent on time. Ignore them and watch the move-out boxes pile up. FIX IT OR LOSE IT Leaks, roaches, busted fridges, jammed elevators — things break, and your maintenance crew walks to every job. Hire more workers, fund repairs fast, and watch them ride the elevator (or storm the stairs) to save the day. A LIVING, BREATHING BLOCK Day turns to night, seasons change, rain sends everyone reaching for umbrellas.
