Level 1 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Retail Skills (QCF). City & Guilds, the UK’s leading vocational education organisation has developed SmartCards – the first in a line of mobile apps supporting City & Guilds qualifications. SmartCards is a fun and engaging tool for City & Guilds Retail Skills learners, enabling you to supplement classroom learning with your smartphone. Featuring 48 revision cards, the flashcard style app allows you to: • enhance and test your knowledge unit by unit • mark cards you know as ‘Learnt’, so you can keep your learning organised. • identify knowledge gaps using the ‘Flag for review' feature. The application has been designed to support learners studying the Level 1 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Retail Skills (QCF) and features adapted content from the acclaimed SmartScreen.co.uk website. The App is available free for a limited time only, with support for the following units: • Unit 101: Move goods and materials manually in a retail environment • Unit 102: Keep stock at required levels in a retail environment • Unit 103: Sort donated goods for resale or recycling in a retail environment • Unit 104: Maintain food safety while working with food in a retail environment • Unit 106: Wrap and pack goods for customers in a retail environment • Unit 108: Recognise and report security risks in a retail environment • Unit 109: Comply with workplace health and safety requirements in a retail environment • Unit 110: Work effectively in a retail team • Unit 111: Keep the non-food retail environment clean and tidy Apps supporting other City & Guilds qualifications will be available soon.
