It was built by a teacher who spent years watching kids fight through words they desperately wanted to understand, and who couldn't find one app that read beautifully, respected privacy, and didn't hold the basics hostage. Personal voices start speaking sooner. Timber used to build a whole paragraph before making a sound, which left a long pause every time it moved to the next one. Now it starts talking almost right away, so reading runs continuously instead of stopping and starting. Also in this update: - Smoother scrolling in the Voices list. - Less background work while you read, which is easier on your battery. - A quieter app overall: fewer things running that you never asked for.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
