About this app

TrainingLab is a native workout tracker for iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac — built around how you actually train, with your data kept private. BUILD OR GENERATE WORKOUTS • Create workouts by hand with your own exercises, sets, and rep- or time-based targets. • Or use the gym generator: tell it once which equipment your gym has, and it only ever picks exercises you can actually do. • Five splits, including Push + Full Body and Pull + Full Body hybrids — as single sessions or multi-week progressive plans. • Exercises rotate across sessions so you're not repeating the same set every week. ON-DEVICE INTELLIGENCE (BETA) • A daily readiness score from your HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, and training load. • Smart workouts tuned to your recovery and freshest muscle groups. • Describe a workout in plain language — even "45-minute upper body without arms" — and get it built. • Runs entirely on device with Apple's Foundation Models. Nothing about your health leaves your iPhone. (Requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.) A REAL APPLE WATCH APP • Start on iPhone and the watch app comes forward with the right activity type already set. • Per-exercise countdown on the wrist — not just the total workout time. • Pause from either device and the other follows. • Live heart rate, calories, and distance stream back to your iPhone during the session. • Control your iPhone's music from the wrist, with the real now-playing track on screen. HEALTHKIT NATIVE • Every session writes a real workout to Health with the correct activity type and contributes to your Activity rings. • Hand any workout off to the built-in Workout app on Apple Watch with one tap. PLANS & PROGRESS • Build multi-week plans, drag to reorder, and track completion as you go. • Browse by goal, muscle group, and difficulty. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Workouts, plans, and exercises sync through your own private iCloud — no third-party server, no analytics, no ads, no account to create. TrainingLab is a fitness app, not a medical device. Its readiness, recovery, and difficulty estimates are informational guidance only — consult your physician before starting any exercise program.

What’s New

Version 1.1.1 Aug 23, 2026

Version 1.1.1: • Smarter running plans — intervals, tempo runs and a weekly long run, with cutback and taper weeks instead of just adding distance. • Set a work duration (in seconds) for time-based exercises; the workout timer follows it. • Adjustable rest between rounds for cardio/HIIT, with a default in Settings — strength workouts run straight sets with no rest. • New exercises now save under the correct muscle group, so they show up where you expect. • Up to 8 sets per exercise and a cleaner workout-duration picker. • Stability fixes and under-the-hood cleanup.
