About this app
Craft your trick-taking skills with TrickSmith — a modern, offline Spades & Hearts app built for quick games, deep strategy, and a clean, readable UI. PLAY TWO CLASSICS Spades (teams): bid smart, manage bags, and chase the set. Hearts (solo): avoid points, watch the Queen of Spades, or shoot the moon. SMART, FAST, OFFLINE Play anywhere — no account or internet needed. Snappy, fair AI that makes each hand feel human and competitive. Works beautifully on iPhone and iPad. CUSTOMIZE THE TABLE House rules for Spades: target score, bags/overtricks penalty (every 10 bags), Nil and Blind Nil values, sandbag penalty, and more. Optional safeguard: prevent both teammates from declaring Nil in the same hand. Hearts scoring includes “Shoot the Moon” with automatic point redistribution. Choose game length to fit coffee breaks or couch sessions. DESIGNED FOR CLARITY Big, legible cards and streamlined controls keep the focus on the play. Subtle motion and tactile feedback help every trick feel satisfying. Light and dark appearances that respect your device settings. LEARN AS YOU GO In-app Rules and How to Play for quick refreshers. Contextual reminders for special cases (bags, Nil, Shoot the Moon, etc.). WHY TRICKSMITH? Trick-taking games reward timing, memory, and teamwork. TrickSmith gives you a calm, modern table that gets out of the way — so you can read the room, count the cards, and enjoy the run of play. Feedback welcome! If there’s a house rule you love, let us know what you’d like to see next.
