About this app

Type Telugu the way you already type it. Millions of us write Telugu in English letters every day — in messages, in comments, in captions. And every keyboard fights us for it. You type "bagunnara" and it offers "beginners". You type "ela" and it shouts "ELA". You type "vasthunna" and it quietly sends something else. TypeNative is a keyboard that knows those words. It knows 122,000 Telugu words written in English letters Built from Google Research's Dakshina dataset and a hand-compiled list of everyday conversational spellings — the words you actually use at 11pm in a family group chat, not just the ones in an encyclopedia. It never changes what you typed There is no autocorrect. What you type is exactly what appears. Suggestions wait above the keys and only replace a word when you tap one. You will never send a message that rewrote itself on the way out. It suggests the word people actually use Type "nuv" and the first suggestion is "nuvvu". Type "unta" and you get "untaanu". Everyday conversational Telugu ranks above everything else, because that is what you are writing. Every spelling is the right spelling "bagundi", "baagundi", "bagundhi" — there is no official way to write Telugu in English letters. TypeNative accepts all of them instead of picking a winner and correcting you toward it. It cannot see what you type TypeNative never asks for Full Access. Without it, iOS gives a keyboard no network and no shared storage at all — so this one physically cannot send a keystroke anywhere. That is not a promise about our intentions; it is a restriction the operating system enforces. The dictionary is built into the app and works in airplane mode. A real keyboard, not a compromise Key previews, hold-to-repeat delete, caps lock, numbers and symbols, and a layout that adapts to landscape and iPad. Free. No account. No ads. No analytics. Nothing collected, ever. To turn it on: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → TypeNative Telugu. Then tap the globe key on any keyboard to switch.
