About this app
Use this app to set Uruky as your default search engine in Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The Safari App Extension is how Apple lets you choose a custom default search; without it, Safari can’t use Uruky from the address bar. ## What is Uruky? Uruky is a private search engine: no ads, no tracking, no search logging. Your account is an account number only (like Mullvad)—no email or name stored. Servers, data, and payment are in the EU. You pay a small monthly fee; you’re the customer, not the product. ## What you get with Uruky - Private search: no ads, no tracking, no query logging - Personalization: boost or exclude domains and TLDs in your results - EU-based: infrastructure and search providers in the EU - “Just search”: no ecosystem, no AI assistants—focused search only ## How to use 1. Signup for Uruky at uruky.com (account = account number only). 2. Install this app and enable the Uruky extension in Safari (Settings → Safari → Extensions). 3. Set Uruky as the default search engine (Settings → Safari → Search Engine). 4. That's it! After that, searches from Safari’s address bar use Uruky by default. Works on iOS and macOS wherever Safari supports a custom default search engine. Requires an active Uruky account.
