About this app

What happens when you play your favorite music at the wrong speed? Sometimes, magic... Vinylcore lets you explore music the way vinyl lovers and remixers have for decades: by spinning it at the wrong speed — like a 33rpm record played at 45rpm, or vice versa. Slow it down for a haunting, dreamy crawl. Speed it up for that bright, breathless Nightcore rush. The result is sometimes funny, sometimes beautiful, and often unexpectedly brilliant. New in Version 3 — start listening straight away, no music library required. Vinylcore used to work only with songs already on your device. Not anymore. Now you can dive in instantly with a world of free, legal audio built right in: • Jamendo — over 500,000 free, Creative Commons-licensed tracks • Internet Radio — thousands of live stations from around the world • Podcasts — search and stream any show… then hear it at half or double speed • The Internet Archive — a vast vault of live concerts, vintage recordings and rare audio • Paste any audio link — drop in a direct URL and play it your way Want to hear a track crawl like a slowed-and-reverbed remix? A podcast host suddenly sound deep and ominous? A 1970s live bootleg pushed into Nightcore territory? Now you can — in seconds, with no files to buy or sync. Still love your own music? You can also play songs purchased from iTunes or synced to your device, exactly as before. What you can do: • Pitch-shift and time-stretch any track in true analog style • Recreate the iconic 33-to-45 rpm effect using authentic vinyl-speed math • Dial in as much lush reverb as you like — from a subtle shimmer to a fully washed-out dream • Experiment with radio, podcasts, instrumentals, moody vocals and modern pop Vinylcore is the spiritual successor to the '45 RPM' app — rebuilt from scratch, redesigned for modern devices, and now opened up to the world of online audio. A note on your own library: Due to licensing restrictions, Vinylcore can only play personal songs that are purchased from iTunes on your device or synced via a computer. It cannot access Apple Music or iCloud Music Library tracks — but with V3's built-in radio, podcast and Jamendo sources, you no longer need a music library to get started.
