About this app

Welcome to WordWave! The rules are pretty simple: as the letters in the 5x10 grid scroll by, find as many words as you can (four letters or longer) by tapping on adjacent letters in succession before they’re gone. Each letter can be used no more than once in a word. To complete a word, tap on its last letter a second time. If you head in the wrong direction and tap on the wrong letter, you can tap on a previous letter in your word to back up to that letter. Each word you find will increase your score and reward you with a Wave Rewind, giving you more time to find words. The longer the word, the higher the score and the greater the rewind. If you’re not happy with your results after the first Wave, or you saw a word but just couldn’t get to it in time, you can Keep Trying with another Wave (showing the same letters again) and build on your previous success! There are a lot of words - usually a few hundred possible words in each challenge. Don't be discouraged - the rankings are there to help you take pride in your progress along the way! Tap on your current ranking to see the current challenge's point requirements for each ranking. When you're done with a challenge, you can choose to Show All Words to see what you missed and where. Each day will bring a new, unique WordWave challenge! In the app settings, you can turn on Easy Mode (where the letters move half as fast, and move back twice as much for each Wave Rewind), or you can turn off Haptic Feedback (the little taps you feel from your phone when you press on a letter). Have fun, and don’t forget to share with your friends!
