About this app
Yoinemu is a minimalist ambient sound app for falling asleep. Designed in Japan, completely free, with no ads and no tracking. Just open it, choose a sound, and let yourself drift off. WHY YOINEMU Most sleep apps keep adding features. Yoinemu does the opposite. It does one thing — help you fall asleep — and removes everything that gets in the way. Dark, quiet artwork made for nighttime. No sign-up. No subscription. No noise. A SLOWING BREATH On the player, a quiet animation breathes a little slower over time, gently guiding your own breathing down toward sleep. You don't have to follow it. It's just there, in the background, like a calm presence in the dark. 15 CAREFULLY CURATED SOUNDS, ACROSS 5 CATEGORIES Rain - Noki no Ame — rain on the eaves - Doshaburi — heavy downpour - Yoru no Kosame — light rain at night - Mado Utsu Ame — rain on the window Water - Kawa no Se — a river's shallows - Yose-nami — waves rolling ashore - Mizuumi no Fuchi — the edge of a lake Forest - Yoru no Mori — forest at night - Kozue no Kaze — wind in the treetops - Ake no Mori — forest at dawn Fire - Takibi — a campfire - Andon — the glow of an andon lamp Noise - Hakuu — white noise - Yaki — pink noise - Jinari — brown noise Each sound keeps its Japanese name, with a short English description so you always know what you're hearing. FALL ASLEEP, THEN STOP GENTLY Set a sleep timer and choose a gentle fade. Instead of cutting off abruptly, the sound eases away along a soft S-curve — "stop gently over 10 minutes" — so nothing jolts you awake just as you're drifting off. QUIET BY DESIGN - Designed for falling asleep, not for staring at a screen - Dark artwork that won't light up your room - Available in English and Japanese - No accounts, no ads, no tracking - Every sound is credited to its creator in the app INDEPENDENT, AND TRANSPARENT Yoinemu is built and maintained by a single independent developer in Japan. Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are available in both English and Japanese. SUPPORT Inquiries: Japanese preferred. English supported on a best-effort basis. support@yoinemu.app FROM JAPAN, WITH CARE Yoinemu is shaped by a Japanese sense of "yoi no nemuri" — the sleep of early evening. Its name, its Japanese sound titles, and its pared-down artwork all come from that quiet world. We hope it helps you end your day a little more gently.
