Ships Bell Clock & Duty Bells

About this app

Mark the passage of time with the authentic chime of a ship's bell. Sailors have long signaled the beginning and end of duty watches by striking bells in a pattern that cycles in four hour intervals. Excellent for use as a display or background chiming clock on all of your compatible iOS devices. With location access enabled, mute bells at your location and automatically unmute when you leave. Silence bells automatically for selected watches.  Enable Reveille, Retreat, and Taps sounds to play at your preferred time. _____________________________ Feedback: shipsbell@alchemicapps.com Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

New in this version: a Bell Pattern setting for the dog watches, 16:00 to 20:00. U.S. Navy: bells run 1 through 8 straight through, as in every other watch. Traditional: the count restarts at 18:30 and rings 1-2-3-4 again. Royal Navy: the count restarts at 18:30 and still ends the watch on eight bells. U.S. Navy remains the default, so the bells you hear today are unchanged unless you choose another pattern. Fixes crash at launch on iOS 27

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
