About this app

It can be frustrating when your weather radio doesn't have coverage when traveling, and the broadcast format is inconsistent from place to place.  This app plays a simulated weather radio broadcast customized to your location. Forecasts are updated constantly and accurate to a resolution of less than 2 miles anywhere in the United States. Enhanced features include precise local forecasts with a searchable map for any location in the United States, quick access to previous locations, and many additional listening options including special weather statements, additional observations, a detailed outlook of the potential for hazardous weather, solar and lunar almanacks including exact time for the evening golden hour, detailed extended local forecasts and discussions, and more. Flood watches are now a listening option in Settings. Flood warnings and advisories are always included. Broadcasts are less repetitive. Very small rainfall amounts, low chances of precipitation, and duplicated "then" phrases are trimmed out. Clearer pronunciation of forecast text. The Forecast Locations list has been reworked. Saved locations that are really the same place are merged automatically, so a spot no longer appears twice under two names. The map for adding a location is always reachable, including from an empty Forecast Locations list. Includes workaround for iOS 27 bug that causes synthesized speech to run together.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
