About this app

Thank you for using AmmoDB and for being the kind of careful shooter, collector, or range regular who wants clean records instead of guesswork. You are keeping track of real equipment and real supplies, and AmmoDB is built to respect that with a private, practical ammunition log. AmmoDB is a local ammo inventory tracker for iPhone and iPad. It keeps ammunition records, usage history, storage locations, photos, stats, allowance totals, export options, reference information, and range calculators in one organized app. There is no account to create and no cloud workflow to learn. Open the app, find the record, update the count, and move on. Use AmmoDB to manage: - Ammo names, makers, grain, container details, status, and inventory dates. - Box counts, rounds per box, loose rounds, total rounds, used rounds, and remaining rounds. - Purchase cost, total cost, cost per round, percent used, and percent remaining. - Storage locations such as safes, cabinets, shelves, range bags, lockers, and ammo cans. - Record photos and location photos for quick visual identification. - Dated usage entries for range trips, practice sessions, testing, training, or stock rotation. Built for everyday inventory work: - Search by ammo name, maker, location, container, notes, and status. - Add custom records or start from saved ammo-name presets. - Duplicate a record when another box or batch uses similar details. - Edit a full record on iPhone or use split-view browsing on iPad. - See usage history tied to the same ammo record instead of losing details in a single total. - Review stats by overview, ammo name, and storage location. - Drill from a stats summary back into the exact matching record. - Track allowance totals so your recorded count stays visible. AmmoDB also includes range and reference tools: - Ballistic calculator for estimated drop, wind drift, velocity, and energy. - Bullet BC database with quick G1 and G7 reference values. - Twist rate calculator for stability estimates. - Recoil calculator for recoil energy, recoil velocity, and impulse. - MOA and mil converter for adjustments, inches, centimeters, and clicks. - Searchable ammunition reference for common cartridge characteristics. AmmoDB is local-first. Your inventory is stored on your device, available offline, and not tied to an app account. Optional startup protection lets you choose no lock, PIN only, or Face ID or Touch ID with PIN fallback when supported by the device. This is a privacy gate for opening the app, not encryption of records, photos, exports, or backups. Why AmmoDB fits real use: - It is made for ammunition inventory, not generic notes. - It works for range ammo, hunting loads, training stock, reserve supply, and collection records. - It keeps counts, costs, locations, photos, and usage in the same place. - It keeps calculators close to the records people actually use. AmmoDB gives careful users a clean way to track ammo stock, round counts, storage, usage, costs, stats, and range calculations without turning inventory into a chore. ## In-App Purchases Monthly Pro is an auto-renewing one-month subscription. What’s New

Version 8.4 Aug 11, 2026

Thank you for using AmmoDB, and thank you for being careful enough to keep good records. This update is built for users who want cleaner counts, faster checks, and practical tools without turning an ammo log into a chore. AmmoDB now has a broader inventory workflow while staying local and easy to scan. The release adds detailed usage history, stronger stats, calculator access, a searchable ammunition reference, Ammo+ Pro options, and clearer startup protection. Inventory updates: - Added per-record usage history for multiple dated round-use entries. - Added notes on each usage entry for range trips, testing, training, and stock rotation. - Added editing and deletion for usage entries when a record needs cleanup. - Updated used rounds, remaining rounds, percent used, and percent remaining from the full usage history. - Kept the familiar used-round total for compatibility while making usage entries the main record. - Improved record summaries so counts and notes are easier to review. - Refined search across ammo names, makers, containers, locations, notes, status, and related details. Stats and allowance: - Added a stronger Stats tab with Overview, Ammo, and Locations sections. - Added searchable stats for larger inventories. - Added ammo-level and location-level reporting. - Added drill-downs from stats into matching ammo records. - Added allowance tracking so your current recorded count can be compared with your chosen maximum. - Improved sharing text for useful inventory summaries. Navigation and layout: - Calculators now have their own front tab for faster access. - Ammo remains close at hand for regular inventory work. - Locations, Stats, and More are available from the main tabs. - More gathers Ammo+ Pro, Spreadsheet, Export, Allowance, Ammunition Reference, Ammo Library, Help, Settings, and About. - iPhone navigation stays compact and focused. - iPad keeps the wider split-view record workflow. Calculator additions: - Ballistic calculator for estimated drop, wind drift, velocity, and energy. - Bullet BC database for quick G1 and G7 reference values. - Twist rate calculator for stability estimates. - Recoil calculator for recoil energy, recoil velocity, and impulse. - MOA and mil converter for adjustments, inches, centimeters, and clicks. - Cleaner calculator layouts for small iPhone screens and wider iPad views. Reference and help: - Added a searchable ammunition reference for common cartridge characteristics. - Added detail pages with identification notes, cautions, and source links. - Kept reference information separate from personal inventory and ammo-name presets. - Updated help text for records, stats, calculators, reference, Pro access, and startup protection. - Updated About text with local storage, privacy scope, and AS-IS safety language. Ammo+ Pro: - Free access supports up to three ammo records. - Pro unlocks unlimited ammo records. - Pro unlocks Spreadsheet for wider table-style browsing. - Pro unlocks CSV and JSON export sharing. - Monthly Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription. - Lifetime Pro is available as a separate one-time purchase. - Restore Purchases, Refresh Plans, Manage Subscription, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy are available in the app. Privacy and startup protection: - Added optional startup lock choices. - Keep startup lock off, use PIN only, or prefer Face ID or Touch ID with PIN fallback. - PIN-only mode stays available without triggering biometrics. - Biometric unlock applies to the current app session only. - Help text explains that startup protection is a privacy gate, not record encryption. This update makes AmmoDB more complete while keeping the day-to-day flow simple. You can check a record, log rounds, review stats, run a calculator, browse reference data, or unlock Pro workflows when your inventory needs more room.
