About this app

Inventions happen at a whiteboard, on a bench, in a corridor — not at a desk with a disclosure form open. Invention Capture records the moment it happens, then turns it into a structured invention disclosure before the detail fades. Talk through what you built. Attach photos of the sketch or the rig. The app transcribes what you said, extracts it into the fields a disclosure needs, and hands you a PDF and a JSON file. All of it runs on your iPhone. No account, no server, no exceptions. CONFIDENTIALITY IS THE POINT An invention disclosure is the most sensitive document your R&D produces — an unfiled, unprotected description of something novel. Sending it through someone else's API before it is filed is a risk nobody needs to take. • Speech recognition runs on-device with Apple's SpeechAnalyzer • Structuring runs on-device with Apple Foundation Models • No third-party analytics anywhere, and none in the audio path • Recordings, photos and disclosures stay in the app sandbox with complete file protection • Nothing is transmitted until you tap Export and choose where it goes HOW IT WORKS 1. Record — narrate the invention. Live waveform, pause and resume. 2. Attach — add photos of sketches, prototypes, screens or apparatus. 3. Structure — the transcript becomes a disclosure: title, technical field, problem, solution, how it works, advantages, variants. 4. Review — every field is editable. Terms the model had to interpret are flagged so you can check them. 5. Export — a paginated PDF and a schema-versioned JSON file, through the share sheet. BUILT FOR TECHNICAL LANGUAGE Invention disclosures are full of terms general speech models mangle. The app hints domain vocabulary to the recogniser, handles homophones deliberately, and flags any term it had to interpret rather than quietly guessing. Editing a flagged field clears the flag. WHAT YOU GET OUT • PDF — the full disclosure, your inventor attribution, attached photos as figure pages, and the complete transcript • JSON — a schema-versioned file a downstream IP system can read HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT CANNOT DO If Apple Intelligence is switched off, the device is not eligible, or you recorded silence, the app tells you exactly that and offers a retry. It never invents content to fill a gap. A disclosure that says something you did not say is worse than no disclosure at all. Invention Capture does not draft claims and does not assess patentability. It captures what you said, accurately, and gets it into a form your patent counsel can work from. Requires an iPhone with Apple Intelligence. English only in this version.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
