About this app

AN APP FOR GOOGLE SEARCH—RIGHT IN YOUR MAC MENU BAR GSearch is a native search engine and browser launcher for macOS. Press Option–Space—or click the menu bar icon—type a query, and press Return. Start a Google Search without opening a browser first or interrupting your current workflow. SEARCH GOOGLE, YOUTUBE, AND MORE Choose one of five built-in search destinations: • Google Search for the web • DuckDuckGo search • Microsoft Bing search • GitHub code and repository search • YouTube search for videos Switch search engines from the panel whenever your task changes. OPEN RESULTS IN THE BROWSER YOU WANT Use your Mac’s default browser or choose another compatible browser installed on your Mac. GSearch asks macOS which apps can open web links, so the Safari browser, Google Chrome browser, Firefox browser, Arc, Brave, and other compatible apps can appear automatically when installed. PAIR EACH SEARCH ENGINE WITH A BROWSER Turn on “Remember browser per engine” to keep a separate browser choice for every built-in search service. Open Google Search in Google Chrome, YouTube search in Safari, Bing in Firefox, or create the browser pairing that fits your workflow—without changing the system default browser. SEARCH FROM ANYWHERE ON macOS The customizable global hotkey brings the native search panel to the front over any app. Type, press Return, and continue working. Press Escape or click elsewhere, and the panel disappears. SEARCH OR OPEN A WEB ADDRESS Use the same field as a search launcher and browser launcher. Enter keywords, or go directly to a full URL, domain, localhost address, or host and port. BUILT FOR MAC • Fast keyboard-first workflow • Native macOS panel • Menu bar access • Customizable keyboard shortcut • Optional launch at login • Search engine and browser preferences stored locally PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, ads, analytics, or saved search history. GSearch builds the destination URL on your Mac, then hands it to your selected browser. The browser and destination service apply their own privacy policies after you submit. GSEARCH PRO The free plan includes up to five submitted searches per local calendar day using Google and your system-default browser. Upgrade to GSearch Pro for unlimited searches, every built-in search destination, your choice of compatible installed browser, and per-engine browser pairing. Choose a one-year auto-renewable subscription or a lifetime non-consumable purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID after confirmation. The one-year plan renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID Account Settings. Baseline captured. Growth appears after the crawler observes a changed rating count.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
