About this app

PeakID is an app that displays the name, elevation, and distance of mountains in AR—simply by pointing your smartphone camera at them. "What mountain is that?"—answered instantly, whether you're a beginner hiker, traveling somewhere new, or just looking out a train window. Covers approximately 17,594 mountains across Japan. Mountains you capture are pinned on the map, building your personal collection of peaks you've seen. Key Features AR display of mountain names and major landmarks Realistic ridgeline rendering Photo capture & automatic collection Pin map Adjustable display range Notes Accuracy of mountain name display depends on your device's GPS and compass precision. Accuracy may decrease indoors or in areas with poor signal reception. The mountain database is comprehensive but does not include every mountain. Location access and calibration are performed at first launch.

Baseline captured. Growth appears after the crawler observes a changed rating count.

Momentum comes from crawler snapshots for the tracked storefront. “Viral growth signal” means unusually fast recent rating gains; it is an indicator, not download data.
