About this app
PrepChef turns weekly meal planning, kitchen inventory, shopping gaps, recipes, and nutrition tracking into one practical workflow. PLAN YOUR WEEK Arrange breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in a seven-day view. When you complete a meal, PrepChef can update ingredient inventory and daily nutrition using the servings you actually ate. USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE Track ingredient quantity, unit, storage location, and expiry date. Filter inventory by status, storage, or category, then find recipes that match what is available and prioritize ingredients that need attention. SHOP ONLY FOR THE GAPS Generate a shopping list from your weekly plan. PrepChef subtracts compatible inventory, merges duplicate needs, and lets you add purchased ingredients back to local inventory after you confirm where they will be stored. KEEP RECIPES AND NUTRITION TOGETHER Browse, search, favorite, or create recipes with ingredients, steps, servings, and nutrition. Record intake manually, compare planned and actual nutrition, and review progress against personal goals. FREE CORE, OPTIONAL LIFETIME PRO The core plan-inventory-shopping-nutrition workflow is free to use. Optional Pro tools, including reusable templates, inventory statistics, shopping history and sharing, experimental photo assistance, and Apple Health sync, are available through a one-time lifetime unlock. There is no subscription, and eligible purchases can be restored. LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN Core meal, inventory, shopping, recipe, and nutrition records are stored on your device. No account is required, and the current release includes no ads or analytics SDKs. Camera, Photos, Apple Health, and notifications are optional permissions; manual core workflows remain available if you decline them. Photo assistance is experimental and runs on device. For nutrition input, use it only with a clearly labeled per-100g nutrition panel, review every value before saving, and enter ordinary or complex meals manually. Nutrition goals and energy estimates are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Nutrition values, expiry guidance, and photo-assistance results are general references, not medical advice, nutrition diagnosis, allergen clearance, or a food-safety guarantee.
