About this app

RestCalm is two things: a short routine for the hour before bed, and something to read at 3am when the legs start. THE EVENING ROUTINE Five moves, about seven minutes. Calf and hamstring stretches, a hip flexor lunge, ankle circles, and three minutes with the legs up the wall. Each one has a timer and a short note on how to do it properly. Slow and unforced, because the aim is to leave the legs settled rather than worked. IF IT STARTS AT 3AM Four things to try, written to be read beforehand rather than in the moment. Get up and walk, because movement is what settles the urge. Firm massage working upward, because counter-pressure competes with the crawling sensation. A change of temperature, warm or cool, since people differ on which helps. Standing at the counter, which is easier on sleep than picking up your phone. A NIGHT LOG THAT FINDS YOUR PATTERN Mark each night fine, mild or bad, and tap what was different: caffeine after noon, alcohol, late exercise, long sitting, short sleep, stress, a missed dose, a warm room. Over a few weeks it shows which of these actually matters for you, rather than which ones matter in general. WHAT TO TAKE TO A DOCTOR Low ferritin is one of the most common and most treatable contributors, and it needs a blood test, because ferritin can be low while a standard blood count looks normal. Do not start iron supplements on your own. Some antihistamines, antidepressants and anti-nausea drugs make symptoms worse, and if that applies to you, ask about alternatives rather than stopping anything yourself. WORKS OFFLINE No account, no signal, nothing collected. This app does not diagnose or treat restless legs syndrome. It is a routine, a set of things to try, and a record you can take to an appointment. Persistent symptoms are worth taking to a doctor, and there are treatments that work.
